The Handmade paper unit was established as an important section of the Directorate of Handicrafts & Handloom in the year 1957 with aim to process/ convert used waste into new products to prevent waste of potentially useful materials, reduce consumption of fresh raw materials, reduce energy usage, reduce air pollution and water pollution by reducing the need for conventional waste disposal as compared to virgin production. Recycling is a key component of modern waste management. Further old files and documents of Office are restricted from being disposed in the open market due to many reasons confidentiality being the main. There are others sources from which waste paper and raw materials are gathered.
These handmade paper file cover and file board are used for keeping records
