The Craft Gallery was initially opened and started during the year March 2007.
Many valuable objects and masterpiece of talented craftsmanship have been showcase and kept for exhibition for the visitors. It is a Gallery of collection of antique and unique items ranging from 300 to 400 years old belonging the three ethnic groups of Sikkim made by various legendary craftsmen are in full array. This reflects the preservation of old aged traditional custom of the people of Sikkim and is manifestation of existence of Peace and Communal Harmony in the State of Sikkim.
Hand Carved Wooden Pillar Made of Magnolia wood on a solid single trunk of a tree is a royal memory from the Chogyal Dynasty which have been gifted to Directorate of Handicrafts and Handloom from the Phodong Monastery, North Sikkim.
